• The average speed of a Battleracer/BF2 DPV on a flat surface is 51 miles per hour.
• One lap on the Karkand Sprint track on Battleracer is 0.46 miles long.
• A typical three-lap race around the Karkand GP track on Battleracer is about 2.24 miles.
• Using my boost sparingly, I averaged 58 miles per hour during the race.
• The new telemetry features I’ve added to Battleracer 1.3 are awesome.

True story. Statistics junkies (like me) should have a ball when speed & distance tracking are added to the Battleracer stats system.

So apparently there’s an upcoming Battleracer tournament being hosted by an Australian clan. I’ve been talking to the organizer, and just as the promo image says there’s a ridiculous amount of prizes up for grabs. (For reference, AUD$1750 is about USD$1134.) It’s absolutely mindblowing to see a huge event like this happening on Battleracer.

I’m not 100% sure about your eligibility if you don’t live Down Under(tm), but I think you can still participate if you can handle the lag. More information about the tournament is forthcoming on the Australian Universal Soldiers clan website.

I’ve updated the server-side code in the Sandbox 1.0 beta to fix some of the problems people were still having, with object creation not working and groups randomly ungrouping themselves. Tomorrow I hope to push out the first client-side update on your shiny auto-updater to complete the T command rose and fix some minor issues with various objects.

On a sidenote, I got myself a fancy new Xbox 360 a couple weeks ago. Feel free to add me as a friend, my gamertag is Elxx. Same goes for Playstation Network too, of course. Unfortunately, my copy of Bad Company for 360 doesn’t work because the 360 has stupid region locking. Thus, I will be forced to repeatedly kick your ass in Uno for now.
